Especially in the first trimester, it’s important to acknowledge that pregnancy changes how our bodies respond to training.
One major factor is the hormone relaxin, which increases joint laxity and can raise the risk of injury if we’re not careful.
Because of this:
Some lifts shown are not intended for beginner lifters
Several movements include modifications or substitutions
Control, tempo, and stability matter more than lifting heavier weight
Pregnancy is not the time to chase PRs — it’s the time to move with intention.
